As part of the recovery effort in the aftermath of the tornadoes of Jan. 25, 2020 that impacted Fultondale and surrounding areas, Birmingham Water Works crews have been on the ground to help ensure the safety of our customers.

Out of an abundance of caution, crews are turning off or disconnecting some of the impacted service lines and meters in that area. Without this action, erupted service lines and/or meters could pose a threat to neighbors, BWW workers, and the general public.

When customers are ready to resume service, Birmingham Water Works will work diligently with those individuals.

“Our heart goes out to all the families who have endured such a harrowing and destructive event,” said General Manager Michael Johnson. “We stand ready to assist as you rebuild.”
